Cooker Guard

... turns off the Cooker, if Mrs Smith forgets to do it

During daily use the cooker operates normally.  The Cooker Guard monitors both time and heat.  If the temperature becomes too high, the Heat Guard sounds a local warning.  Mrs Smith can therefore turn off the cooker.  If she forgets, the cooker will turn off automatically.

The Cooker Guard also limits the time of the cooker use. The count-down starts over every time the cooker is switched on. When time has elapsed, the cooker is turned off.

For safety reasons, the cooker does NOT turn back on automatically. Once the Cooker Guard has turned off the cooker, the user or the care giver must turn off and on the hot plates and reset the cooker guard in order to use the cooker again.

Safe and Easy-to-use

The Cooker Guard has been designed to help elderly people in domiciliary care.
Thousands of people with dementia in an early or intermediate stage can benefit from the Cooker Guard.

The Cooker Guard does not change the way of using the cooker. This is important as the learning process can be difficult for a person suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.
