The Alerta Pearl is an overlay alternating pressure relieving mattress system with 5" air cells for effective prevention and treatment of users at medium to high risk of developing a pressure ulcer in hospital, nursing and care home environments. The Alerta Pearl has been designed to give care providers the essentials for pressure care and the pump is an entry level pump.
The mattress is comprised of multiple air-filled cells. The system is supplied with a pump that inflates and deflates these cells in an alternating fashion over a 12 minute period, ensuring the client is never resting on the same part of the mattress for too long. This reduces the risk that pressure sores will develop.

The system comprises a comfortable airflow mattress with a waterproof and vapour permeable cover. The cover is antimicrobial and can even be machine washed! It is supplied with an easy to use air pump that inflates and deflates sections of the mattress automatically. The pump features visual and audible alarms for low pressure and power failure to ensure the client is always at the ideal setting. With simple to use settings and functionality, the Alerta Pearl enables the care provider to quickly set up the mattress system and have it operating at optimal pressure for a specific user with ease.
